Trustee Recruitment

About Trustee Recruitment

Trustees play a vital role in the effective running of a charity, organisation or group. You generally need at least three trustee members for your board.
Due to high demand and the importance of the role, recruiting trustees can be challenging. Advertising your trustee role through Doing Good Leeds is a free and effective way to reach a broad range of potential candidates.

Submit Your Trustee Role

You can also submit your trustee roles to be shared through our Trustee Vacancies Newsletter which goes out to individuals from charitable organisations and businesses around Leeds. To submit your role for for the newsletter please send the details to volunteering@val.org.uk and you can sign up to receive the newsletter here – Voluntary Action Leeds sign up

Resources for Volunteer Managers Toolkits, Guides and Top Tips

Network members with support from the Volunteer Centre Leeds team create and share a range of useful guides and resources to shape best practice in the city.

One of the key resources we have is the Volunteer Handbook which many organisations have adopted for use in their volunteer induction. It’s freely available to download along with many more toolkits and resources you can use.
Volunteer booklet pages show people collaborating; key topics: volunteering, Rebecca’s story, and tips for new Leeds volunteers.
