Baby Basics Leeds – Need your support

Baby Basics Leeds are the local branch of a national charity who support new mothers and families who are struggling to meet the financial and practical burden of looking after a new baby.

We provide expectant mums with a moses basket full of all the essential items they need for their newborn, this includes toiletries for mum and baby, breast pads and maternity pads, clothes for baby, bedding and a few nappies. We can also provide baby baths and clothing bundles for 3-6, 6-9 and 9-12 months if they would like this too.

We can now provide a hospital bag as we know that can add to the pressure of getting ready for delivery. This will be a specific bag holding some essentials including maternity nightie/nursing bra/toiletries as well as a small selection of baby items. (It is not designed to replace the baby bundle with the moses basket but to go alongside it).

As health and social care professionals and charity workers you can refer people to us should they require these items. However, we cannot deal with the family or person directly so we would need you to arrange collection of the items by yourself/team member.

We are currently based out of St. Paul’s Church, Ireland Wood, Leeds, LS16 6BS but will be moving in the next couple months.

Collection is currently from North Church on Kirkstall Road.  You will be sent an email when the items are ready to collect. Someone from your team will need to come to us to collect the items.
